Job Title: Visual Merchandising Manager

Join The Talent Mill Recruitment division, a bespoke recruitment consultancy and talent acquisition specialist within the fashion, lifestyle, and retail industries, in our search for a skilled Visual Merchandising Manager to lead our client's retail expansion in Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the national visual merchandising strategy, ensuring consistency and quality across the retail network. This includes partnering with the retail teams, regional stakeholders, and HQ departments to execute the brand vision and campaigns. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders and present ideas to groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the national visual merchandising strategy, including in-store execution of marketing and special events
  • Align with the product, design, and merchandising teams to create in-store presentation guidelines and strategy
  • Manage all in-store signage merchandising
  • Lead the retail activations strategy on key moments in-store, including store events, community events, and brand moments
  • Manage the visual presentation for all new store openings
  • Attend new store openings to manage the visual merchandising strategy
  • Manage visual presentations in each store through coaching Head Coaches
  • Manage VM budgets and spend across departments
  • Develop training initiatives to develop VM skills at regional and store levels
  • Work with the Merchandising Team to create monthly window inspiration and outfits
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years' experience in merchandising, visual display, styling in a multi-site capacity
  • Solid background in Visual Merchandise and implementation of creative direction, ideally within a retail environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Visual Merchandising &/or Retailing
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and coaching a team
  • Experience with local vendor sources for display supplies, hardware, props, furniture, flowers
  • Ability to work with a variety of people, present ideas and information to groups
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and visual merchandising tools, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with window execution
