Grounds Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Professional to play a key role in developing and implementing improvements to our school environment.
- Maintain gardens, grounds, lawns, and playing surfaces by performing routine tasks such as mowing, pruning, and watering plants.
- Prepare ovals for sporting events and carnivals by ensuring the surface is safe and suitable for use.
- Supervise and maintain irrigation equipment and drainage systems to prevent water damage and ensure efficient water usage.
- Manage the safe application of pesticides, sprays, and fertilisers to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
- Operate and maintain specialised machinery and equipment to perform various tasks efficiently.
- Supervise and train grounds people, tradespeople, and apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in maintaining gardens, lawns, and playing surfaces. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of plants and equipment, and contribute to the development of our school environment.
About This Role- Experience in maintaining gardens, lawns, and playing surfaces.
- Knowledge of operating and maintaining pumps, irrigation equipment, and drainage systems.
- Ability to safely distribute and apply pesticides, sprays, and fertilisers.
- Strong organisational skills for managing stores and facilities.
- Commitment to WHS requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level or completion of an apprenticeship.
