Landscaping Professional Wanted for Grounds Maintenance Position

Maintain the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces by ensuring lush lawns, vibrant gardens, and top-quality sports ovals. This role is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work and have a passion for horticulture.
About the Role:
This position involves assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging.
- Assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals.
- Safely operate and maintain small machinery, considering the risk to self and others.
- Assist in equipment and plant maintenance repairs, including carrying out tasks allotted under the grounds and gardens maintenance plan.
- Assist in ordering and purchasing materials for maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
To be successful in this position, you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience, including:
- Knowledge of maintaining playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing.
- Ability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals.
- Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery, ensuring safety for all.
- Experience in equipment and plant maintenance, following the grounds maintenance plan.
- Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials for maintenance tasks.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level, or completion of an apprenticeship.
