Logistics Training Manager

Role OverviewThe Driver Trainer plays a key role in implementing our business driver training strategy, focusing on risk management, quality assurance, HSE, and human resource management systems. This position will also contribute to continuous improvement considerations in driver training and assessment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to support delivery of Toll Group driver training initiatives, including group and one-on-one training sessions.
- Assess driver competencies as part of pre-employment checks and re-assess current drivers to comply with business requirements and standards.
- Coach drivers to safely and effectively carry out work processes, ensuring daily activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
- Collaborate with Training Managers to plan and coordinate training requirements and activities, including annual forward planning and monthly requirements communication to operations.
- In conjunction with Toll Group Operations Training, support the design and development of quality driver training materials aligned with learning methodologies.
- Maintain and track records of all driver training and assessments, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence (preferably MC), DG licence, current SSAN (Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate), MSIC (Maritime Security Identity Card).
- Knowledge of HV mass management, fatigue management, dangerous goods, load restraint, road transport rules, and regulations.
- Experience as a skilled and competent driver/MHE operator and an experienced trainer and assessor.
- A can-do approach towards driver safety, coaching, and risk reduction.
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to review training and assessment effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
