Senior Culinary Operations Manager

About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen.
The successful candidate will manage a team of Trade Cooks, Apprentices, and Food Services Assistants to ensure the consistent delivery of high-standard meals while maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, cleaning standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate food service operations to meet dietary and nutritional needs.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
- Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, cleaning standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Manage stock, equipment maintenance, and supply chain requirements.
- Oversee menu planning, catering requests, and meal quality assurance.
- Respond to feedback and complaints with professionalism and care.
- Conduct audits and maintain accurate records.
- A minimum of Trade Certificate of Proficiency in Cooking and Food Safety Supervisor (Health).
- Proven leadership experience in managing performance and workplace change.
- Extensive experience in hospitality or healthcare catering.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP), OH&S, and infection control.
- Understanding of texture-modified diets (IDDSI) and dietary restrictions/allergens.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor food preparation processes.
