Logistics Manager Opportunity

This pivotal role is integral to operational success, responsible for driving key business objectives while delivering safe, timely, and cost-effective production and delivery of materials.

Key responsibilities include leading transport and logistics strategies, ensuring consistency with the overall business plan, and developing a continuous improvement culture.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Developing and executing transport planning and scheduling processes in conjunction with trading and operational teams
  • Management of the transport team
  • Capacity and operational planning
  • Carrier and fleet performance management
  • Implementation and governance of transport systems to ensure safety and customer compliance
  • Identification and implementation of transport initiatives to ensure timely, reliable, cost-effective, and safe transport of products
  • Continuous improvement of waste reduction and system optimization throughout the organization

We seek a results-driven leader with strong influencing and communication skills and a passion for delivering on time and to a high standard.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of logistics management experience, ideally in a transport planning environment
  • Experience in building and leading teams in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Experience in fleet and carrier management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of allocating vehicle types, capacity, specifications, load configuration, and load restraint
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, Weighbridge, and Waste Edge system an advantage
  • Proven capability in problem-solving and process improvement with a passion for outcomes
