Accounts Payable Position

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable Officer. This is a part-time role based in Moruya, where you will be responsible for assisting with the operation of Council's accounts payable system.

About the Role

This position involves processing and managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payment to suppliers, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operations and provide excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Previous experience working in a similar role or using computerized creditors systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders regarding accounts payable matters.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to queries and resolving issues efficiently.
