This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in commercial law, preferably with at least 4 years of post-admission experience gained in a private practice, in-house or public sector environment. Your expertise should be in a non-contentious area of practice such as corporate/commercial IT, banking & finance, property, construction or employment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing high-level legal advice on complex procurement and contractual issues.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and ICT related agreements.
- Advising on privacy, data governance, cyber security, employment, and intergovernmental agreement matters.
- Delivering strategic legal support to senior stakeholders and contributing to ministerial briefings and decision-making.
You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative team, delivering high-calibre, varied legal work with a strong social purpose. The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
