Job Title

A senior API architect will be responsible for defining and maintaining the overall direction of our APIs, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across all engineering squads.

  • The primary focus is on leading and collaborating with multiple squads to coordinate efforts on shared APIs and service interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain API design principles, driving technical excellence in a scalable and maintainable manner.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for technical direction regarding API strategy, versioning, security, and governance.
  • Collaborate with multiple squads to ensure alignment and consistency in API design and implementation.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate technical discussions and decisions through joint design sessions, architecture forums, and sprint planning meetings.
  • Translate functional models into detailed technical specifications and architecture, ensuring a deep understanding of business domain needs.
  • Lead the end-to-end design of APIs from high-level interface definition to low-level implementation, promoting best practices and industry standards.
