Job Description of API Architects in Sydney: Design and develop API proxies using Apigee Edge.
Create API proxies from existing SOAP or REST services.
Responsible for solution architecture for the API platform and onboarding APIs.
Experience in creating custom message policies using Java.
Strong understanding of SOAP and RESTful services.
Knowledge of security policies such as Basic Auth, OAuth, WSSE tokens, etc.
Understanding of API management lifecycle components like environments, virtual hosts, API proxies, cache, products, and publishing to the portal.
Configure various security policies for APIs.
Design and deploy APIs (YAML) using API Designer.
Create custom policies using gateway scripts or DP processing rules and configure message assemblies.
Manage API lifecycle activities like publishing, deprecating, and superseding API products.
Experience in creating processing rules using XMLT and Gateway Scripts.
Test services using tools like Soap UI or Postman.
Install and configure Apigee.
Possess good communication skills and experience with Agile development methodologies.
