Role Overview
The State-Wide Bariatric Service Coordinator plays a pivotal role in coordinating complex, interdisciplinary care for patients across the Queensland.
This involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver an equitable service to patients throughout their surgical journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate complex interdisciplinary care at a statewide level
- Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver an equitable service
- Monitor and report on clinical work practices and outcomes
- Develop and implement local service improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of service coordination within a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed clinical experience, including a comprehensive understanding of the clinical care continuum for patients accessing surgical care
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to provide supervision to staff to ensure maintenance of service and professional standards
