We operate 24 recreation centres, 53 out-of-school-hours care services, and two camping locations which employ 1,500 staff across NSW – and fund our diverse range of enriching community programs.

Salary

$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role

We are seeking an Education and Childcare Professional to join our team at Burke Ward Public School in Broken Hill. As a Casual Educator, you will provide fun and engaging activities for primary school-age children, helping to design a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging program activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care hours
  • Supervise and interact with children, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Fulfill safeguarding priorities and maintain a safe learning environment
  • Collaborate with Coordinators to develop and implement educational programs

Requirements

  • Current First Aid HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting and CPR
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Police Check (paid for by the Y)
  • Experience supervising and interacting with children
  • Ability to work flexible hours and arrangements
