Civil Design Technician - Pipelines Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Technician to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have experience in civil modelling, design understanding in pressure piping, water networks and site wide civil infrastructure for major water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across Transport, Water, Energy, and Property sectors.
  • Lead the civil (water) discipline of projects and coordinate with industry leading engineers.
  • Utilise expertise to create compliant BIM models.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in civil modelling with sound design understanding in pressure piping, water networks and site wide civil infrastructure for major water infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure to Design & Construct projects with Sydney Water is advantageous.
  • Experience using AutoCAD C3D drafting and modelling, including setting up and administration projects.
  • Experience using CDE's such as ACC, ProjectWise and Synergy and an understanding of ISO19650 workflows.
  • Experience using Navisworks, ACC Model coordination and federated model tools.
  • Capability to deliver precise engineering design documentation that adheres to standards and procedures with exceptional quality.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to establish solid relationships internally and with key stakeholders.
