Make a Difference in Mental Health Nursing

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work in regional and remote locations across Australia, delivering essential mental health services to diverse communities.

Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for passionate nurses to combine their skills with health education, advocacy, and program development in a supportive environment. You will be working in a community-based setting, providing case management, assessments, and support plans for clients and families navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide case management and support to clients and families, promoting independence and empowering them to manage their own health
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure culturally safe referrals and effective care coordination
  • Deliver health promotion activities, yarning circles, and community education to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent chronic diseases
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in community health, chronic disease, oncology, or related programs
  • Current QLD Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR, Blue Card, and National Police Check
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Cultural awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
