Senior QA Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems, identifying and addressing gaps, and ensuring optimal performance.

• Implement and maintain project quality management systems, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and specifications.
• Identify and address quality management system gaps and instances of duplication of work to ensure optimal performance.
• Act as the first point of contact for clients regarding all testing on site, providing expert advice and guidance.
• Compile Project Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDR) and ensure traceability throughout the project.
• Solve QA/QC queries in accordance with relevant specifications, standards, management plans, and procedures.
• Raise, action, and close out Non-Conformance Reports in a timely manner.
• Develop procedures, management plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and methodology statements in accordance with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Ensure Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) are available for all welds on the project, arranging additional WPS development if required.
• Conduct inspections of structural, mechanical, and piping installations, including material control, flange management, coatings inspections, alignment, and dimensional verifications in accordance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Raise NDE requests, coordinate NDE subcontractor personnel, validate and endorse NDE reports.

• Hold CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certificate or equivalent.
• Relevant trade qualifications, engineering qualifications, or NDE experience highly regarded.
• Formal auditing or root cause analysis training highly regarded.
• A minimum of 5 years industry experience, with at least 2 years in a QA/QC role in construction projects.
• Strong understanding of AS/NZS 1554.1-7, AS 4037, AS 4041, AS 4458, AS 3992, AS/NZS 4100, AS/NZS 5131, and AS 2033.
• Proven track record in quality systems, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in compilation of Project MDR.
