Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our Youth Services East operations. The State Manager will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the service, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of support services to young people.

The role involves leading and growing the youth service operations in the East, including managing statutory obligations, administration, service outcomes, and assisting the director with strategic planning and state service expansion.

This position is a key member of the national youth service's leadership team and ensures the operational integrity of the Horizon House Services Model of Care while ensuring that the East service operates efficiently and effectively.

The State Manager will provide senior advice on critical incidents to support the services on call escalations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in managing youth services or similar environments;
  • Strong leadership and management skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing youth services.

A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field would be an advantage.
