Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

QinetiQ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our LAND Major Service Provider (MSP) division in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality systems engineering solutions to support the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation to ensure compliance with Department Product Lifecycle Management Model (PLCMM) requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to demonstrate that delivered materiel meets Executive Authority requirements.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to Project Leads and Directors.
  • Develop and maintain project maturity documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with Capability Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively in a small team environment.
  • Transfer systems engineering knowledge and skills to other team members.
Requirements:
  • Formal qualifications from a recognized tertiary institute or relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality capability documentation to enable projects to attain Initial Material Release (IMR), Initial Operational Capability (IOC), and Final Operational Capability (FOC) on time and within budget.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work under limited supervision to achieve directed project/capability outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Experience in planning, analysis, and development of material introduction into service requirements with an understanding of and experience in processing materiel.
