Firmware Engineer

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Surveillance and Communications business unit, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining firmware for mission-critical defence radar systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new VHDL firmware for radar systems
- Maintain current product line and engineering support for hardware and firmware
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, including software, systems, ILS, and quality
- Produce detailed design and test documentation and procedures to meet contractual project requirements
About You
- A university degree in an appropriate discipline, such as computer science or engineering
- Knowledge and understanding of the engineering development lifecycle
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
- Experience in Intel FPGA VHDL firmware development cycles
- 3+ years of experience with Modelsim/Questasim Advanced Simulator and TCL scripting
