About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health Support Officer to join our team in a casual capacity. This role involves providing support to students with complex health care needs and/or disabilities within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement procedures and specific health plans to support multiple students with invasive health care needs.
  • Administer medication and undertake delegated complex and invasive health care tasks according to health plans.
  • Respond to emergency situations based on first aid and other standard training protocols.
  • Work under direction and perform functions requiring the practical application of skills and knowledge.
  • Under supervision of RNs, engage in tasks such as visual observation, patient supervision for safety, diversional patient activities, and assisting in activities of daily living.

  • A current First-Aid Certificate

  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and procedures and the application to this role
