Job Title: Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Emergency Department

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Emergency Department team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for delivering person-centered clinical care and managing individual cases, while mentoring less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance Patient Care: Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager and fellow Associate Nurse Unit Managers to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Drive Improvements: Assist in implementing practice changes that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Support Management Tasks: Work alongside the Nurse Unit Manager on performance evaluations, recruitment, staffing, and financial planning.
About the Role:

The Emergency Department is a dynamic service that sees over 12,000 people per year, inclusive of adult and paediatric presentations. Led by a dedicated and highly skilled leadership team, the department provides comprehensive and high-quality emergency care to patients.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registration: Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practicing certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-registration nursing experience, or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Clinical Competence: Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, person-centered clinical care in a fast-paced environment.
