The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure projects across various sectors. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in assisting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and coordinating project activities to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support and Coordination
    • Provide technical support to the Project Manager and project team in planning, designing, and executing civil infrastructure projects.
    • Coordinate project activities, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient project delivery and compliance with project requirements.
  • Design Review and Analysis
    • Review project designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
    • Conduct technical analyses and evaluations to support design decisions and optimize project outcomes.
  • Construction Management Support
    • Assist in coordinating construction activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Address stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Budget and Cost Management
    • Support the Project Manager in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
    • Assist in tracking costs, analyzing variances, and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization and control project costs.
  • Risk Management
    • Assist in identifying potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project delivery.
    • Support the development of risk management plans and mitigation strategies to minimize risk exposure and ensure project success.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship on project sites.
    • Assist in implementing health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and technical documentation.
    • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for clients, stakeholders, and internal stakeholders as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering or construction, with exposure to infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and infrastructure systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with local councils, state governments, or government agencies is a plus.
