Senior Project Manager

Green Recruitment Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) transactions from conception to Final Investment Decision (FID). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering BESS projects in the Australian market, with a deep understanding of the regulatory framework, grid connection processes, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources for utility-scale BESS projects.
- Oversee all aspects of project development, including feasibility studies, site selection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure the successful completion of critical development milestones, including land acquisition, grid connection approvals, environmental assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Negotiate and secure project financing, including equity and debt arrangements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utilities, landowners, and community groups.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Australian energy market, with a focus on utility-scale BESS or Solar projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading BESS transactions from conception to FID.
- Strong understanding of the Australian regulatory framework, grid connection processes, and market dynamics.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
