Service Technician Role

The successful applicant will work in a team environment at a Sydney maintenance facility centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain, repair and test rail component products in accordance with relevant drawings, task instructions, quality requirements, and test specifications/procedures;
  2. Record all outcomes and sign/date all appropriate task and test specific documentation, during and at the completion of testing of finished assemblies/products;
  3. Identify products tested to indicate tested status, i.e. batch number and serial number stamped on body or product, after passing all tests;
  4. Promptly advise the lead service technician of any inaccuracies in test specifications and drawings, or problems being experienced in achieving desired outcomes and results;
  5. Promptly advise the lead service technician of non-conforming components, tooling or equipment considered unsuitable for assembly and/or service;
  6. Recommend design changes via a form if thought to improve quality or performance of the product;
  7. Ensure customer goods, inventory stock, tooling and equipment are identified appropriately, and expiration and/or service dates are compliant; initiate escalation where necessary;
  8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times;
  9. Clean and maintain tooling, plant and equipment as required to ensure proper and safe functioning;
  10. Develop skills to promote an image of professionalism, efficiency and courtesy to customers, suppliers and other business associates, and employees;
  11. Participate towards branch performance goals, delivery timeframes and customer satisfaction;
  12. Participate in team meetings;
  13. Undertake duties as may be required to support operational and business requirements;
  14. May be required to work outside normal hours or additional hours to support operational requirements;
  15. Domestic or international travel may be required;
  16. And other duties directed by your manager.
Required Skills

Technical knowledge of rail component products and services is essential. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
