Postdoctoral Researcher in Artificial Intelligence

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML). As a leading research group in Australia, AIML is dedicated to advancing the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, with a strong background in deep learning and programming experience in Python or C++. The role will involve undertaking fundamental machine learning research projects aligned to one of more of the following themes:

  • Tackling misinformation, working on attribution and integrity for generative AI.
  • Safe AI in the Real world, working on foundational reasoning for tool use and physical interactions.
  • Diverse AI, working on AI systems for safety and diversity.
  • AI that can explain its actions working on causal AI for a changing world.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
