About the Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant. The role delivers support to staff within the Chemistry and Physical Sciences Technical Services unit, ensuring effective, safe, and sustainable operations in various laboratory facilities.

This position requires developing effective working relationships across a broad range of faculty and university communities, as well as contributing to the ongoing improvement of work processes. All Science Faculty staff are expected to contribute to work across the Faculty and participate in cross-functional project teams.

As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality service, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively to achieve team-based outcomes in a changing environment. You will also demonstrate ability to analyze, adapt, and problem solve, connect and collaborate with diverse groups, and work effectively within a team in a demanding and high-paced environment.

The successful candidate will possess an associate diploma or equivalent qualification, with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training, preferably in a laboratory or industry research environment. A current C-class driver's license is also required.
