
Support Professional for Laboratory Operations

As a Laboratory Support Associate, you will be working in a high-volume laboratory with a positive culture and a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Mainly adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken.
- Work cooperatively and communicate effectively within the team and with clients.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of laboratory quality systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification.
- Be prepared to engage flexibility in the scientific, technical and IT aspects of the position.
- Demonstrate resilience, well-developed communication skills, and ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
- Rapidly learn pathology pre-analytical processes, such as sorting, coding, data entry, aliquoting, storage, retrieval of specimens.
- Solve problems and show initiative in the workplace.
- Manage time effectively in a highly process-driven environment with competing priorities.
- Show strong attention to detail, ability to focus in a busy, complex environment.
- Display highly developed customer focus with experience dealing with a variety of people.
- A Certificate III Pathology or similar is desirable, although not mandatory.

- It will be a condition of employment for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
