We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to fill the role of Engagement Practitioner - LGBTQIA+. This position is designed to support individuals from LGBTQIA+ communities in accessing mental health and other essential services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique barriers faced by people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, particularly in environments where discrimination or lack of understanding may hinder access to care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one support to LGBTQIA+ individuals to access mental health and other essential services
- Identify barriers to care and work with participants to develop pathways to treatment and support
- Advocate for clients and connect them with appropriate community resources
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic recovery and wellbeing
- Tertiary qualification (or nearing completion) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or related field
- A current Working with Children Check
