Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our mental health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the Inpatient Unit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning duties include toilets, hand basins, bed screens, curtains, doors and door frames, sweeping, mopping, dusting, removal of clinical waste, restocking linen and toiletries.
  • Assisting nursing staff with patient repositioning and lifting, as well as transporting patients to various departments and locations as directed.
  • Serving and distributing patient meals, water jugs and menus, including setting up meal trays for patients.
  • Ensuring patients receive their morning, afternoon teas and supper.
