Network Development Expert Wanted

A leading organization is seeking a Network Development Expert to build, deploy and scale the Amazon networks that support AWS, customers and other business units across multiple global data centers.

The Core Networking team focuses on building Data Centers and the network that enables efficient operation of Data Centers. Key responsibilities include collaborating with vendors to evaluate new hardware and software features, automating optical test plans and qualifying optical modules, working with network operations teams to identify operational issues and improve quality and RMA process, and owning the long-term strategic view of the optical network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with vendors to assess new hardware and software features and create implementation plans for incorporating them into the network.
  • Automate optical test plans and qualify optical modules.
  • Work with network operations teams to identify operational issues and improve quality and RMA process.

Responsibilities also include product development and delivery, lifecycle support, and vendor performance management. The expert will own the long-term strategic view, build strong partnerships with customers, and influence technology and design choices.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of optical communication systems, networking planning and optimization.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining optical (DWDM) networks.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for automation scripting.
