Our organization is seeking an experienced Optical Network Development Specialist

This role involves the development, deployment and scaling of optical networks that support multiple business units across global data centers.

The Core Networking team is responsible for designing and building efficient data center networks, as well as aggregating racks and interconnecting data centers.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with vendors to evaluate new technologies, automating test plans and qualifying optical components, working with network operations teams to identify issues and improve quality and RMA processes.

A typical day for this engineer would involve a range of responsibilities including product development, lifecycle support and long-term strategic planning.

  • Knowledge of optical communication systems, networking planning and optimization is required.
  • Experience with operating and maintaining optical (DWDM) networks is essential.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language for automation is necessary.
