Job Title: Sr. Network Technician- TS/SCI with Poly Required

Description:

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Network Technician to provide expert-level support for computer data communications network systems. This position will involve designing, analyzing, and installing network engineering solutions, as well as planning and implementing upgrades to ensure seamless network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Draft and implement standard network change requests to ensure network stability and security.
  • Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects, including site surveys, Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), and equipment installation.
  • Perform configuration management functions, including updating topology drawings, ensuring asset management records are accurate, and conducting inventory.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades to ensure minimal downtime and optimal network performance.
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching, including VLANs, Port Security, and Thin Configurations.

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with Poly
  • 16 years of experience, which can be a combination of work history and education, including a Doctorate and 8 years, Master's and 10 years, Bachelor's and 12 years, Associate's and 14 years, or HS Diploma and 16 years.
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts.
  • Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes.
  • Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience, including CAT5, Single Mode (SM)/Multimode (MM) Fiber, Serial cables, and Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP).
  • Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Juniper JUNOS, and the Brocade and Foundry Operating System (OS).
  • Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols, including Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Language Server Protocol (LSP), and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
  • Up to 25% travel.

Pay Range: $87,450.00 - $157,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
