The Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join their Community Mental Health Service in Temora. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to make a positive impact in rural and regional communities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering holistic, person-centred care to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs and their families and carers. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and deliver comprehensive mental health care to the regional community of Temora and surrounds.
- Delivering high-quality therapeutic engagement with children and adolescents experiencing or at risk of developing severe mental illness.
- Improving patient outcomes through integrated service models and timely access to targeted clinical care.
- Working collaboratively with healthcare providers across multiple services involved in a young person's care.
- Providing supportive services to families and carers of children and adolescents experiencing severe mental illness.
The MLHD prioritises support for school-aged children and adolescents from culturally diverse backgrounds, who are experiencing social and/or economic disadvantage, identify as LGBTIQ+, have experienced trauma, or are at risk of withdrawing from education or employment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. A relevant Australian qualification as a Counsellor, Psychologist, Social Worker or Registered Nurse is essential, or a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as community welfare or other equivalent qualification deemed suitable by the employer.
