Plant Engineering Leader

Description:

The Plant Engineer Leader is a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of plant facilities.

This position requires a high degree of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in plant reliability and maintenance management.

The successful candidate will lead by example, demonstrating a deep understanding of business drivers and identifying opportunities for development.

Investigating plant failures, restrictions, or defects, this individual will ensure maximum plant availability and capability.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making are essential in running the plant effectively.

Achieving return to service documentation and test plans will prove equipment functionality and confidence in items being fit for service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example in understanding business drivers and identifying development opportunities.
  • Investigate plant failures, restrictions, or defects to ensure maximum plant availability and capability.
  • Ensure effective problem-solving and decision-making in running the plant.
  • Establish return to service documentation and test plans to prove equipment functionality and confidence in items being fit for service.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical/Mechanical and Controls background).
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plant reliability in heavy industry.
  • Familiarity with maintenance program requirements, analysis techniques, and maintenance management practices.
  • Demonstrated fault-finding and plant diagnostic skills with Root Cause Analysis experience.
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Demonstrated success in managing safety, environment, and process improvement.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various plants associated with heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Computer skills including spreadsheets and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with WH&S, EEO, and Environmental Policies and Standards.
