Operational Store Manager

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of local stores, ensuring compliance with relevant centre guidelines and procedures.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain centre-specific store procedures aligned with operational needs and guidelines.
- Implement and oversee Offender Purchasing and Offender Canteen Services local procedures to ensure efficient stock management.
- Manage the administration of stock purchases, storage, and orders for the centre store to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure accurate monthly stock accounting procedures and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Understand and implement appropriate warehousing techniques for bulk equipment, foodstuffs, chemicals, and dangerous goods to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular stores audits to ensure processes meet workplace health and safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Centre-based experience in operational management with a focus on team leadership and staff development.
- Understanding of centre guidelines and policies related to operational management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with staff and stakeholders.
