Electrical Field Service Technician Job Description

The Electrical Field Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems, including CNC machinery.

This role involves fault finding and repairing spindle, linear, and rotary systems, as well as troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic components.

The successful candidate will have experience with machine tool programming, the operation of machine tools, and metalworking processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery and other complex mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment and assemblies.
  • Perform mechanical measurements and inspections to diagnose problems and service/repair machines.
  • Install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in CNC repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of machine tool programming and operation.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of different people.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate (MS Office).

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in electrical disconnect/connect ticket (S Permit) is preferred.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, creative, decisive, and self-confident individual.

Some regional and inter-state trips may be required.
