This role offers the opportunity to lead a team and drive significant outcomes for consumers and businesses in the energy sector.
As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration of diverse skills and expertise to deliver the Default Market Offer (DMO) each year.
You will provide advice to the Board and Senior Executive Team on retail pricing, policy and regulation, and represent the AER and DMO and Consumers Branch to influence and convince internal and external stakeholders about specific objectives.
Additionally, you will be responsible for high-quality documentation, effective reporting and communication with the EGM, Senior Leadership Team, CEO and Board on relevant projects and organisational wide activities.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading a team in a fast-paced and large complex organisation.
- Substantial knowledge and demonstrated experience across policy and regulatory change, stakeholder engagement and data interpretation and management.
- Expert knowledge of Australian energy markets; the role, purpose and objectives of the AER and the complex political and stakeholder environment within which the AER operates.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field(s).
