About Our Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Services Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who shares our passion for sustainability and community engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing work requests, liaising with internal stakeholders, and assisting with waste education programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing work requests through our system, including allocation and coordination of tasks.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient communication and timely responses to waste-related enquiries.
  • Assisting with waste education programs, including collaboration with internal and external service providers.
  • Movement and transportation of waste bins from internal areas to external waste hubs.
  • Assisting with the cataloguing, portering, and transportation of furniture and equipment from our Re-Use Program.
  • Management of recycling walls, including emptying and data entry.
  • Coordination of waste services for events, conferences, and functions.

Requirements for this role include relevant experience in facilities management, strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess a driver's license and be physically able to carry out manual handling tasks.

This role requires travel between northern campuses, offering opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
