
Senior Mental Health Practitioner Position

Our health service values the essential role our staff play in delivering innovative ways to respond to the health needs of our patients and clients. Specialist Psychiatrists will provide contemporary comprehensive services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes.
We are seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill permanent part-time or full-time positions available within our Northern NSW Local Health District. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing clinical leadership
- Participating in quality improvement activities
- Providing training and education to clinicians
- Delivering contemporary comprehensive services
The successful candidates will be required to demonstrate recent clinical experience in Psychiatry at the role delineation of the service. They must also possess effective clinical communication skills through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Additionally, they must be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
Requirements:- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry at the role delineation of the service
- Accredited ECT provider or willingness to work towards same
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
