Child Mental Health Nurse

Kamala Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit have an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses to join their team in Lismore.
About the Role
This position involves coordinating and delivering high-quality person-centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses.
Nursing care is provided utilising the principles of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery, and in accordance with the National Practice Standards for Mental Health Workforce 2013 and the NSW Health Mental Health Competencies.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified nurse who can work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care to patients with complex mental health needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualised care plans, and implementing interventions to achieve positive outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience working in a mental health setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
