Senior Automation Test Engineer With Cypress

  • About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our team and lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for high-quality enterprise applications.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing using Cypress and Playwright, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for high-quality enterprise applications
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts using Cypress and Playwright
  • Enhance and support existing Selenium-based test suites where required
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and automation strategies
  • Drive automation coverage for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web applications
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation
  • Comprehensive test documentation, including plans, cases, and execution reports
  • Mentor junior testers on best practices in automation frameworks
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Ensure test coverage analysis aligns with quality standards
Requirements
  • Technical Skills:
  • Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, with Python or Java being a plus
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks, such as Cucumber or Mocha/Chai
  • A strong understanding of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and REST APIs
