Senior Technical Lead - Workload Automation.
What's the role?
As the Senior Technical Lead for Workload Automation, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to advance Westpac's Enterprise Batch (Workload Automation) Services, covering design, build and operations. You will also support the technical implementation of the Batch strategic roadmap.

This role requires extensive experience in managing Workload Automation tools in a large corporate organisation, with proven hands-on capability in providing BAU Admin support, including troubleshooting of complex issues as well as installing, upgrading, patching and configuring the Batch tools.

Senior level experience with Control-M is a must as well as intermediate level experience in ESP Workload Automation and TWS/IWS.

Please be aware that this is a fixed-term contract position for up to 12 months.
The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Design, building and implementing technical solutions for Control-M, ESP and TWS/IWS, aligning to the Batch strategic roadmap
• Provide technical support for major incidents which impact the availability of the batch tools
• Provide hands-on support for upgrading, patching and configuring the batch scheduler tools
• Management of agent upgrade, patches and certificate renewals
• Design, build and implementation of automation for managing the batch tools, agents and certificates
• Support, maintain and improve the batch architecture in line with business requirements.
• Liaise with batch designers and developers to support them in delivering optimal batch flow solutions.
• Technical support in migrating scheduling tools to new infrastructure and/or in converting schedules to Westpac's strategic scheduling tool.

What do I need?
In this 12-month max-term contract role, you will need:

• Senior level IT industry experience with 7-10 years in a highly technical role relating to Batch.
• 7-10 years of hands-on experience in supporting and administering Control-M, including new installation, upgrades, and patching
• Solid experience in supporting and maintaining ESP Workload Automation and TWS/IWS
• Extensive experience with Batch Operations and Batch Scheduling.
• Strategic thinking who can drive forward the strategic roadmap for Batch
• Solid experience with both mainframe and midrange hosting environments.
• Advanced analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting and consultative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A tertiary qualification in IT is highly desirable.
