Ground Systems Operations Specialist

As a key member of our Ground Terminal and Infrastructure Department, you will work as part of a highly skilled and specialized team to ensure the availability of critical mission systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide operation, maintenance, and repair for the ground terminal architecture at a customer's site.
With your background experience and skills, you will leverage time-critical observation, assessment, repair, and monitoring of complex communications systems and data links to sustain operation. You will also articulate your recommendations to the customer to inform decisions on mission-critical infrastructure and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in RF Communication systems, antenna/ground hardware, and system level test experience. They must also be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline with 2 years of engineering/technical experience OR Master's Degree with 0 years of engineering/technical experience OR High School Diploma/G.E.D plus 6 years of engineering/technical experience.
- Possess and demonstrate work-related experience with the operation, maintenance, and repair of RF Communication systems.
- Possess system level test experience working with antenna/ground hardware.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI access and complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date.
Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive overseas compensation package with this position, including relocation assistance. Others:This role requires a two (2) year commitment. Shifts are typically from 7:30am to 4:00PM Monday - Friday, with only the odd occasions of off hours or long hours needed for special activities. Position may require planned and emergency travel throughout the year to various locations within the region.
