Job Title

A Ground Hardware Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability of critical mission systems. This role requires technical expertise in electronics principles, equipment maintenance, and repair.

  • Operate, maintain, and repair various types of electrical equipment and devices related to satellite communications.
  • Craft and execute preventative maintenance plans for large antenna platforms and associated equipment.
  • Determine equipment malfunctions using technical knowledge and apply skills to restore mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities

This position entails:

  • Providing daily activities and 24/7 response for technical operations, maintenance, and repair of end-to-end communications capabilities.
  • Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of communications systems and components for ground to space communication links.
  • Solving complex problems by interpreting manufacturer's manuals or similar documents.
Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Technical knowledge of electronics principles and ability to apply it to determine equipment malfunctions.
  • Ability to work on elevated structures at heights of ~100 feet, lift and carry ~45lbs, and work in narrow and confined spaces.
  • Proficiency in technical writing to document equipment failures, prepare status reports, and assist in developing concepts of operations (CONOPs).
Physical Demands

This position requires:

  • Ability to perform planned and emergency travel throughout the year to various locations within the region.
