As a technical professional, you will be part of an elite team responsible for maintaining one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our infrastructure management team and leverage your skills in people management, technical understanding, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data centre technicians and operators, regularly reviewing the ticket queue for large events and addressing them accordingly.
- Guide, train, and educate data operations technicians on best practices related to service owner issues.
- Manage and deliver mid-size projects, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry standards and required SLAs.
- Lead a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Maintain the on-call schedule, coordinating absence and vacations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure optimal staffing levels and talent development.
- Write and deliver performance reviews for staff members, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local Health & Safety standards in all Data centres.
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure Data centre performance and drive improvements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in strategy development, team mentoring, project sponsorship, and technical solution proposal. This role involves leading teams in hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair, and participation in an on-call rotation.
