Poultry Farm Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Poultry Farm Assistant Manager. In this role, you will work in a hands-on environment, assisting the Livestock Manager and overseeing a small team to meet targets and standards.

Our multipurpose farm in Lethbridge is equipped with 7 ventilated sheds, providing a productive and safe working environment for all staff members. As an all-rounder, you will be responsible for maintenance and repair tasks, requiring basic capabilities and understanding of most trades.

To succeed in this position, you must have a reasonable level of fitness, enjoy physical work, and possess strong practical skills. Key responsibilities include collecting, washing, and grading eggs, managing staff (up to 6 team members), administration, including record keeping and reporting, and maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and vehicles.

  • Manual car license
  • Experience in similar roles in agriculture, including staff management
  • Maintenance and repair skills, including mechanical aptitude
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Attention to detail and good eyesight
