Security Expert

The role of an IT Security Engineer is a pivotal one, requiring strong technical skills and strategic thinking to safeguard our organization's computer networks, systems, and bespoke applications.

This specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks. Their expertise will help identify vulnerabilities/weaknesses across the networks and bespoke applications and implement effective security hardening solutions and configurations to prevent breaches.

  • Identify vulnerabilities/weaknesses across the networks and bespoke applications using advanced threat detection tools.
  • Develop and implement proactive security strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify areas of improvement in operational security and provide recommendations for enhanced security controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all new system implementations meet or exceed established security standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity and adapt our security strategy accordingly.

To excel in this position, you will have:

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and architectures.
  • Proficiency in vulnerability management programs utilizing SAST & DAST tools.
  • Expertise in security and risk assessments of internal and third-party systems.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations and industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA/HITECH.
