At Great Gulf, we are looking for a highly skilled Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our Food & Beverage department, you will be responsible for leading a team of culinary staff in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a casual fine dining kitchen, including 2 years in a leadership role. A chef training diploma is preferred, and Ontario Food Handlers Certification is required. Red Seal Certification is also an asset.
You will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen before, during, and after service, expediting food items, and directing kitchen staff. You will also assist with creating monthly training schedules and executing trainings professionally. Additionally, you will help plan and develop recipes, ensure the correct preparation and presentation of food, and monitor food receiving shipments.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of kitchen operations before, during, and after service.
- Direction of kitchen staff, including expediting food items and ensuring quality control.
- Assistance with creating monthly training schedules and executing trainings.
- Planning and development of recipes, ensuring correct preparation and presentation.
- Monitoring food receiving shipments to ensure they meet established purchasing specifications.
- 3+ years' experience in casual fine dining kitchen, including 2 years in a leadership role.
- Chef training diploma (preferred).
- Ontario Food Handlers Certification (required).
- Red Seal Certification (asset).
