Metz Project Services operates as part of the Metz Group and delivers project installations of Metz specialty products in a wide variety of environments including commercial and industrial kitchens, aquatic facilities and industrial environments.

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated project supervisor to join our team in Clayton where you will have autonomy to manage relationships and projects with our clients. Working as part of the Metz Project Service team in Clayton, every day is a unique opportunity to put your stamp on this role.

THE ROLE

  • Seeking a versatile project supervisor with tiling experience to manage projects in commercial kitchens, industrial facilities and more. Some knowledge of epoxy coatings would be an advantage.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of projects including estimating, pricing to project management and completion. Including the review and advise on basic commercial contract management.
  • Delivers projects based around a standard 8 hour working day with capacity to manage works on weekends or after hours if required.
  • Manage projects with our team of skilled applicators on tiling and epoxy coating projects (average project size: 20-150k).
  • Ensure projects and works are delivered safely with implementation of WHS requirements.
  • Attends site to measure and inspections. This role is a hybrid position with time split between our Clayton office and on various sites.
  • Delivery of projects on budget with skills in project cost control, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Understands labour and material requirements and schedules works in advance. Flexibility to find and engage additional labour and tradespeople as required to meet programs.
  • Co-ordinates materials and deliveries on time, orders supplies, and tooling as required.
  • Regular reporting including weekly toolbox talks and job progress reporting.

THE PERSON

As the Project Supervisor, you will have:

  • An eye for details, managing projects so that works are completed on time whilst ensuring a quality finish.
  • Strong skills in organisation, with the ability to co-ordinate projects, manage trades, arrange materials and schedule works.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal. Good computer literacy skills with the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook…)
  • Has good understanding of cost control with experience in financial processes and systems.
  • Goal orientated, ability to track projects and tasks.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across Melbourne, Victoria and on occasion interstate to suit business needs.
  • Previous site supervision experience or similar role is strongly desired.

SALARY/TRAINING
