Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. This includes inspecting and repairing parts such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches. You will also be required to observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery.
  • Inspect and repair parts such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
  • Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repair or replace defective parts.
  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • Start devices to test their performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Maintenance Mechanic, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is medium to loud.

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. Vibration is also present in the work environment.
