Associate Portfolio Manager

This role involves managing investment portfolios, conducting data-driven decision making and collaborating with various teams to achieve strategic investment outcomes.

The Associate Portfolio Manager will be responsible for supporting portfolio implementation, FX exposure management and automation of operational workflows. They will also contribute to total portfolio governance, research initiatives and data analysis, as well as collaborating with sector teams and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic investment outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of asset management in superannuation and RSE regulatory frameworks, at least 10 years of experience in portfolio rebalancing, workflow automation and database management, confident and experienced in cross-functional communication, extensive technical skills in data analytics and tool development using SQL, Matlab, R or Python, including AI applications, proven ability to lead projects and work effectively across multi-stakeholder environments, degree-qualified in Finance with a focus on investments and balanced in accepting risk in any decision they face.

The Associate Portfolio Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting portfolio implementation, FX exposure management and automation of operational workflows.
  • Contribute to total portfolio governance, research initiatives and data analysis.
  • Collaborating with sector teams and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic investment outcomes.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and drive improvements through documentation and resilience-building.
  • Upholding risk awareness and compliance standards, raising concerns and incidents as needed.
